Who is Philip Henry Henderson?

I gave myself the title Ethical Magician.  I am the first of my kind in America in the 21st Century.  Ethical Magicians use the forces of magic to spread grace and goodness among humans.  I perform classical close up magical effects that were taught to me by master magician Professor David Thorsen.  I am grateful for his patience and kindness in teaching me this art.  I promise to use magic only to bring smiles to the faces of people who are awed by the wonder of seeing themselves become better human beings because of the magical work I perform.

Today, I enjoy what is known as portfolio employment.  I teach courses in Empathic Listening and Executive Coaching for Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, California.  I write ethics essays for Rural Heritage magazine.  I coach individual clients to become outstanding ethical leaders in their work, home, and community.  I consult with governmental agencies to improve interpersonal skills of professional employees.  I am a long-term volunteer at the Centennial Farm in Costa Mesa, California and am the leader of the oxen team.  The photo is of me with my friend Bill, a Milking Devon ox.  Bill and I were great friends for eight-years until his death at age 16 in May 2010.

Since my graduation from UCLA in 1970, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, I have enjoyed five different careers.   For four years, I managed live theatrical performances.   Then, for four years, I conducted research on public policy regarding public school financing for California.  I worked 14 years as a law office administrator. For eight years, I served as Assistant dean for Operations and Finance at the University of California, Irvine; for the last ten years, I have enjoyed portfolio employment with my principal activity executive coaching.

Today, as a portfolio worker, I spend more of my time writing essays on a wide range of subjects including politics, human relationships, human consciousness, sports, medicine, greed, hubris, and empathic listening.  My executive coaching clients come from various backgrounds including librarians, architects, CEO’s, educators, entrepreneurs, and chefs.  What my clients have in common is a desire to become powerful ethical leaders in their business, home, and community.  I use Ethical Magic to help them transform themselves into people who develop enduring loving relationships with the most important people in their lives.

I live with my wife Merna and our cat Biscuit in Irvine, California.  I can be reached through my website  HYPERLINK "
